Antipasto of the Tonnara (Tuna delight)

This is made with yellowfin tuna eggs, milt (seminal fluid) and salami soaked in olive oil. It is a delicious ‘antipasto’ which offers a flavourful taste of traditional products; a real plunge into the past when every part of the tunny fish was used by local artisan fishermen working in the historical ‘tonnara’, a fishing area by the sea where tunny-fishing nets were kept.
